A new name is now being tossed around as a possible new judge for The X Factor: LeAnn Rimes
The singer’s husband Eddie Cibrian confirmed the negotiations, and not surprisingly, thinks she would be “unbelievable” on the panel of the show alongside Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid.
Eddie tells Extra: “They’ve been talking. I think she would be unbelievable on a show like that. Plus she can sing.”
Others in the running reportedly include Britney Spears and Stacey Keibler.
George Clooney‘s girlfriend Stacy Keibler is the latest name being tossed around as a potential X Factor judge.
The New York Post claims Stacy is in talks to join the show — which is also considering Britney Spears — but it seems odd, considering she has no music background.
Still, a source tells the Post,”Her lack of experience in the music business may make her more appropriate as a host. She looks fantastic and has bags of charisma.”
The search for a host and judges is on, following the departures of judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, and host Steve Jones.
Glee star Darren Criss was offered the hosting gig for X Factor, but he turned it down!
He “politely declined the gig,” according to E!.
Ever since Steve Jones got the boot as the show’s host, show bigwig Simon Cowell has been on the hunt for a replacement.
According to E!, Darren won’t be joining the show “because of his busy schedule, plus he’d rather spend his time singing and dancing than hosting. A source tells E!, “They were after him. But there’s no way he could have done it with everything he has going on.”
Britney Spears: X Factor-bound? (Wireimage)
Britney Spears is thisclose to signing a deal with X Factor producers to be one of the show’s next judges, according to multiple reports.
According to Deadline.com, Britney has been offered $10 million for the gig, which would put her just under the $12 million that Jennifer Lopez is making at the rival American Idol.
Neither reps for X Factor head Simon Cowell, nor FOX is commenting yet.
Cowell axed judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul after the show’s first season scored mediocre ratings.
Janet Jackson (NBC)
The list for who will fill one of the two judging seats on the upcoming season of X Factor just got shorter: Janet Jackson has removed herself from consideration.
Janet tells TheInsider.com, she is “very flattered that X Factor let me know that I was being considered for next season, but it just wouldn’t be possible.”
Janet said taking on such a gig would be “unrealistic” since she’s gearing up for her summer tour and a film.
Simon Cowell‘s moved on his from his ex-fiancee Mezhgan Hussainy: With Brazilian businesswoman-socialite Ana Paula Junqueira.
The pair ave been dating for “several months,” Radar reports of the couple, who spent time aboard a yacht in December.
“Simon and Ana are dating, and are very happy,” a source tells Radar. “They have been able to keep their romance low-key. Ana is very much her own accomplished woman, and Simon respects her a great deal for that.”
The source says the relationship is hardly super serious. “They are just enjoying spending time together right now, besides, who says Ana wants to marry him? She has a very successful and fulfilling life.”
Get ready for a new all-boy band!
Simon Cowell is in the early stages of developing an all-boy band consisting of Americans, reports JustJared.
“Simon is really excited to form a group of guys from America,” a source tells the Web site. “He’s done such a fine job with British boys, so he’s ready to try his hand in America. He’s looking for the right people to team up with and create their sound.”
The X Factor judge’s other bands signed to his Syco label are British group One Direction and the quartet Il Divo.
