JUST IN: The National Enquirer Teams Up With Reality TV Show Producer…Will You Watch It?

Get ready for a National Enquirer reality TV show!

The publication has teamed up with the U.K.’s Zig Zag Productions to produce a series that follows around its reporters in New York, L.A. and Florida.

This isn’t the first time that Enquirer publisher American Media Inc., has flirted with producing a reality show: About six years ago, a sizzle reel was shot at Star‘s offices in New York for a series to be called One Park—a nod to AMI’s then-office location of One Park Avenue. But it didn’t reach the pilot stage.

Leila Monks at Zig Zag said, “We are incredibly excited about this new partnership—our production background and contacts paired with The National Enquirer‘s access and library is going to make for some pretty explosive viewing.”

Co-executive producers for AMI of the TV show are David Pecker, the chairman, ceo and president of AMI, and Barry Levine, the executive editor and director of news of The National Enquirer. The coordinating producer is Patricia Gonzalez.
