During Sunday’s Oprah Winfrey interview, Whitney Houston‘s sister-in-law Pat Houston says she knows what killed the singer: Her quest for love.

“It wasn’t about substance abuse relative to the latter days or anything like that,” Pat tells Oprah, as quoted by Us Weekly. “I was afraid for other things‚Ķlifestyle [things].”

When asked to clarify, she explained, without naming names: “I saw her chasing a dream–looking for love in all the wrong places.”

Pat even said she had premonitions about Whitney’s death: “The handwriting was kind of on the wall. I would be kidding myself to say otherwise.”

But, Pat said Whitney’s life was getting back on track:¬† “Things were changing, things were really changing [for Whitney.]”
