Greg Kelly returned to Good Day New York Friday, and while he did reference his recent time off, he made no mention of the rape allegations he was cleared of during that time.
“Rosanna it’s great to see you,” Kelly said. “Folks, thank you. It was a tough couple of weeks obviously for a lot of people. And I’m very, very grateful for all the support I had here at Fox Five, the support from my family and friends, those I care about and the viewers of course. They’ve been just great, the people who watch the show, and have weighed in through social media, positive remarks. Thank you very much…And I’m especially grateful to this woman sitting next to me, Rosanna Scotto,”
Greg Kelly‘s been cleared of rape allegations made against him by the Manhattan D.A.
“We have concluded that the established facts do not constitute a crime under New York criminal law,” said a spokeswoman for the D.A.
Kelly, the morning co-anchor on Fox 5, is the son of NYC police commissioner Ray Kelly. Tuesday night he said in a statement, “I am so thankful the investigation established what I’ve known all along, that I am innocent of the allegations that were waged against me. I am so blessed to have a wonderful family and friends whose support for me never wavered.”
He added, “I am grateful to everyone at Fox 5, especially Rosanna Scotto, my co-host. I will always remember her kindness, and I look forward to soon resuming my post on Good Day New York next to her,” Kelly said.
Greg Kelly, the morning anchor at New York’s Fox 5 (and the son of NYC Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly) has been accused of rape.
He’s being investigated by The Manhattan District Attorney’s office after a woman claimed he assaulted her in her downtown law office, after meeting on the street.
Those who know Kelly tell GossipDavid the charges bring to light that Kelly’s not too well liked. “He’s a tool, a jerk,” says a former coworker.
