Jersey Shore‘s Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has checked into rehab for substance abuse, TMZ.com is claiming.
The MTV reality star “has spent the past several weeks at an undisclosed location for much needed rest and recuperation after his extensive production and appearance schedule,” a rep for The Situation told TMZ.
The news comes one day after MTV announced the renewal of Jersey Shore for a sixth season, which has not yet begun production.
Now the magazine is setting its sights on her daughter, Bobbi Kristina: It’s published a series of still images from a video purported to be taken of Bobbi smoking marijuana from a bong, “partying with college pals at their off-campus apartment in Stateboro, Ga,m in March 2011.”

This is a bit of a surprise: Gerard Butler has been in rehab for the past three weeks.
He’s seeking treatment for substance abuse at the Betty Ford Center, according to TMZ.
So what were Gerard’s vice of choice? “Butler realized he was relying too much on prescription drugs and decided to head off a full-blown addiction by entering Betty Ford…Butler also developed issues with cocaine, but the root problem appears to be the injuries and pain management,” reports TMZ.
Butler’s problems kicked in 2006 from the stress of shooting 300, and then he got hooked on pain pills after suffering injuries.
Demi Moore isnt’t the only troubled member of her family.
The star’s half-brother, James Craig Harmon (they have the same father) is serving “a decade-long jail sentence” in Texas for attacking his former fiancée in 2005, reports Starmagazine. He’s not due to be released until 2015.
“He repeatedly struck her in the head with a telephone, causing serious bodily injury,” police are quoted by Star. “He told her he could make it look like a suicide.”
Demi’s brother, 38, has also been locked up on drug and gun possession charges. .
It’s been revealed which prescription drugs Whitney Houston consumed: Xanax, Lorazepam, Valium — all often used to treat anxiety and depression. She also took a sleeping medication.
Whitney had “a plethora of sedatives including Lorazepam, Valium, Xanax, and a sleeping medication that was found in her hotel room,” a law enforcement source tells RadarOnline. The prescription drugs were taken into custody by the Beverly Hills Police Department.
Meanwhile, sources tell TMZ that Whitney took Xanax “before big performances … like the pre-Grammy party she was scheduled to perform.. Whitney believed the Xanax helped calm her nerves before going out in front of people.” It remains unclear if Whitney took Xanax on Saturday.
Zac Efron has finally addressed Us Weekly‘s report last week that Demi Moore was romantically pursuing — or “tracking down” — the much-younger actor.
Well, he didn’t quite deny it. He told Extra, “I don’t know, me and Rumer have been friends for a long time. I know Demi is going through some personal stuff right now. I just wish her well. I hope she’s doing okay.”
Miley Cyrus is slamming a bogus Facebook post on her page in which she purportedly discusses Demi Moore.
On February 4, many media outlets reported that Miley wrote on Facebook about Demi (who’s currently at Cirque Lodge rehab in Utah), “Everyone needs to leave Demi alone. She’s been through so much the past year. She doesn’t need the crap. how can you talk crap on someone you don’t know. The media makes everyone in Hollywood seem “weak,” “stupid,” or “unbalanced” … Just because she’s in Hollywood doesn’t mean she’s on drugs. NOT EVERYONE IS ON DRUGS!!!”
But Miley, who stars opposite Demi in the upcoming movie LOL: Laugh Out Loud, took to Twitter Sunday to deny she wrote the post: “Why do people make stuff up. Demi has been nothing but a great friend 2 me & I’ll never speak out on her private life! Its nobodys business.”
