Katy Perry will perform at Nickelodeon’s 25th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards in L.A. on March 31 — her first live performance at the show.
Katy will join host Will Smith and a huge roster of celeb presenters, including Chris Rock (What to Expect When You’re Expecting), Emma Stone (The Amazing Spider-Man), Andrew Garfield (The Amazing Spider-Man), Zac Efron (The Lucky One), Heidi Klum (Project Runway), Victoria Justice (Victorious), Miranda Cosgrove (iCarly), Big Time Rush, Chris Colfer (Glee) and Cee Lo Green (The Voice).
“Katy Perry has doubly earned her position as kid favorite — through her music of course — but also for reveling in an outrageous sliming on the show two years ago,” said Marjorie Cohn, executive producer of the show. “She works hard and plays hard and that’s what makes her performance on the KCA’s one to look forward to.”
Janet Jackson is in talks to join The X Factor as a judge, following the departure of Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger.
The talks are in the preliminary stages, as Simon Cowell meets with show execs this week to discuss replacements, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
On Thursday, Janet was coy about joining the show when Anderson Cooper asked her about it. “Oh my God,” she said laughing. “No, I’m not a judge on The X Factor.”
“You’re not currently a judge on The X Factor,” responded Anderson.
“No, I am not,” Janet said. “But that’s all I really think I should say.”
Cowell is also reportedly also interested in Pink and Katy Perry as possible judges.
