Halle Berry made a last-minute Oscars decision this weekend — but it didn’t involve her gown.
The actress, who was supposed to present at tonight’s 84th annual Academy Awards ceremony with Tom Hanks, was forced to bail on the awards show because of a broken foot, reported E!.
Halle originally sustained injuries in September, while in Majorca, Spain, filming: She slipped on rocky countryside while chasing daughter Nahla, who was running after a goat.
Halle Berry won’t have trouble where to eat in Miami beginning early next month, when her beau Olivier Martinez opens a French restaurant in South Beach.
Martinez and local businessmen Jean-Philippe Bernard and Michael Martin will open Villa Azur, a 6,000-square-foot restaurant and lounge.
According to a rep for the restautant, it “will bring a refreshing concept to South Beach with influences from the South of France combining excellent cuisine & great wines with the glamour and allure found in the French Rivera.”
Martinez said in a statement, “The design of Villa Azur is absolutely breathtaking and I am very excited to be joining my friends and business partners in opening a restaurant in Miami which is one of my favorite cities in the world. From the cuisine and drink menus to the overall atmosphere and ambiance Villa Azur will definitely bring that authentic South of France lifestyle to South Beach.”
